David Ede graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2005, and went on to complete his Masters in Sport and Exercise Medicine at Queen Mary University and Barts University, London in 2011.
He has published research on tendon injury and worked with world experts in this area. David has also developed an injury screening tool for individuals and clubs to use for pre-season assessment. He has expertise in all types of musculoskeletal problems but is particularly interested in the care, prevention and rehabilitation of sporting injuries.
David established Ede therapies in 2014, having worked for a large corporate for the previous 3 years. Prior to this he was an extended scope practitioner in the NHS specialising in foot and ankle injuries.
In addition to sporting injuries, David treats all the usual range of general physiotherapy conditions. He specialises in spinal injuries and rehabilitation and believes you are entitled to the same level of expertise and rehabilitation whether you are an elite athlete, a weekend warrior or non-sporting. He offers convenient daytime and evening appointments to suit you.
He prefers to treat patients with soft-tissue mobilisation, joint mobilisation and manipulation. A strong emphasis is placed on re-education of joint proprioception and stabilising muscles to help prevent re-occurrence of injury.
He has close associations with main hospitals and gymnasiums in the area and numerous clinics and medical centres have referred patients to him. In his spare time, David is a keen athlete, runner and swimmer and fully understands the commitment and passions of modern sports participants.
