• About Cheryl

I qualified in 2005 from Cardiff University and have excellent grounding in all areas of physiotherapy.  Experience gained within the NHS includes Musculoskeletal Outpatients, Respiratory (medical and surgical), Amputee Rehabilitation, Community Rehabilitation, Elderly Rehabilitation, Spinal Injuries, Stroke Rehabilitation, Neurological Outpatients and Community, Trauma, Orthopaedics and Hand Therapy.

Over the years I have decided to specialise in the area of Neurology, in particular Stroke Rehabilitation.

I offer treatment sessions within a patient's home or nursing home. I have training in alternative approaches to rehabilitation including Bobath (facilitation of normal movement) and FES (Functional Electrical Stimulation).  I keep up to date with current research and advances in technology and can advise on the current recommended treatment approaches.

I am registered with the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists Interested in Neurology (ACPIN), the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and I am fully insured.
