    Jonathan Blood-Smyth B.Sc. (Zoo), Grad. Dip. Phys., MCSP / HCPC registered physiotherapist no. PH29720

    Jonathan Blood-Smyth qualified from Leeds School of Physiotherapy in 1982, working at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge until 1989.

    In 1989 he moved to the Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Hospital in Exeter to specialise in the assessment and management of musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and trauma conditions.

    From 2000 to 2010 he specialised in the management of chronic pain problems as part of a pain management team. From 2005 to 2010 he was Head of Physiotherapy at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust and then retired from that post.

    In 2010 he became Director of Musculoskeletal Health at Local Physio and is responsible for the clinical governance of Local Physio. He continues to write on health issues.
