    Jenny Baker B.Sc. (Hons) Physiotherapy

    Clinical Director and Lead Physiotherapist of Sense Ability Therapy

    Jenny set up Sense Ability Therapy as a specialised neurological rehabilitation unit that could complement NHS care provision. It offers a range of treatments to suit the requirements of different people.

    Jenny gained her physiotherapy qualification from the University of Wales College of Medicine in 1998. She worked in many different clinical areas until she specialised in neurological physiotherapy in 2003. Since then she has built up expertise working with neurological patients as inpatients, outpatients and in their own homes.

    Jenny was physiotherapy lead for the Dorset Brain Injury service and set up the physiotherapy service for the Dorset spasticity clinic.

    Having completed advanced Bobath training and Masters level neurology modules; she has also taken courses in vestibular management and acupuncture for pain relief. Jenny has also been awarded a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and undergone training to class instructor level in Pilates with the Australian Physiotherapy Pilates Institute.

    Jenny is the author of three systematic reviews of the effectiveness of botulinum toxin for spasticity and function. These are published in the peer-reviewed journal Clinical Rehabilitation. (See links below)
