Thorpes Physiotherapy Yateley is a private physiotherapy clinic, with other clinics at Sandhurst and Fleet, covering the local towns of Hartley Wintney, Aldershot, Finchampstead, Crowthorne, Farnborough and Camberley.
We aim for continuous professional development of our highly skilled physiotherapy staff. They keep up to date with developing new assessment and treatment methods so we can provide the best results with a practical and individual treatment programme.
We offer physiotherapy for musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries, neurological physiotherapy, paediatric physiotherapy, Pilates, acupuncture and massage. We also perform diagnostic ultrasound and injections and provide nutritional guidance.
Physiotherapy for Musculoskeletal Conditions
We can offer specialised assessment and management for a wide spectrum of problems. These include back pain, sciatica, neck pain, knee pain, shoulder pain, other joint and muscle pains, headaches and postural problems.
Our treatments include joint mobilisations, manipulation, massage, electrotherapy including ultrasound, posture advice and exercise programmes, core stability, acupuncture, Pilates, balance and gait training and taping.
Physiotherapy for Children
We provide paediatric physiotherapy in Fleet, Sandhurst and Yateley. Our physios aim to improve movement patterns and day to day abilities in children who may have delayed development, conditions or injuries.
Our expert physiotherapists see children up to 16 years with:
The first session is an assessment and lasts about 45 minutes. After this the physiotherapist will discuss your child's needs with you so we can set up a realistic treatment programme.
Physiotherapy for Neurological Conditions
Our team of neurological physiotherapists at Thorpes Physiotherapy assess and manage people with neurological conditions or injury.
Examples of conditions we regularly see include:
We cover a large area of North Hampshire, East Berkshire and West Surrey.
We do domiciliary physiotherapy (home visits) if you find it difficult to get to our clinics or would just like to be seen in your own home. Our physios are skilled in helping family or carers how to promote therapy programmes.
Our Run Lab Can Improve Your Running
It's now possible to analyse running techniques in detail by used digital technology. This allows us to recognise where your running style is inefficient or contributing to a pain problem.
The whole process takes 60 minutes and enables us to print out a report of the results. Together we look at these results and make a plan to target the issues. We re-test about four to six weeks later to see how successful any programme has been in improving your running efficiency.
Diagnostic Ultrasound and Guided Injections
With diagnostic ultrasound scans we can image the tissues in question which often makes a diagnosis much clearer. We can see the results at once and the testing can be done while you are moving as well as at rest.
Unlike radiation it's very safe to have even repeated ultrasound scans so we can readily check how treatment is progressing. Tuesdays are scanning days and our specialised scan operator also injects joints and other tissues by using the ultrasound to guide the placement of the injection. This makes it much more accurate than non-guided injection.
