Therapy First Physiotherapy is the premier physiotherapy service in the centre of Manchester, with one clinic at Salford Quays and another on Deansgate. Our expert physiotherapy staff can assess, treat and manage a wide range of pain, weakness and disability conditions.
You can come to our clinic for your sports injury, back, neck or joint pain or other pain condition and we will do our best to get you back to doing the things you love.
OUR SERVICES
- Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. Our skilled physiotherapy team take a holistic view of a person, working with them to provide a long-term solution to their problem rather than short-term relief. After a full history and examination, our physios are skilled in hands-on treatments, acupuncture, electrotherapy, taping, core stability and Pilates.
- Sports Injuries. Our sports physiotherapists are specialists in how the stresses during sports can affect an athlete’s body. We diagnose a condition by relating the symptoms and signs to the actions that the sportsperson performs. We know that not being able to participate is painful in itself and have wide experience in returning casual exercisers to elite athletes to their chosen activity.
- Women’s Health Physiotherapy. We have specialised physiotherapy available for women with pelvic pain, prolapse, pelvic floor weakness, incontinence and pain during pregnancy. These important issues need skilled physiotherapy management and we can help with over 80% of such problems.
- Home Visits. If you find it difficult to attend one of our clinics, we can do a domiciliary visit and assess and treat you in the comfort of your own home. Particularly for elderly people, assessing the person in their home is very useful as it’s important to see how they function in their own surroundings. We can see mobility issues, pain problems and post-operative conditions such as fractured hip, knee replacement and hip replacement.
- Acupuncture. Acupuncture can help pain and relieve weakness, stress and other symptoms related to pain, injury or illness. It aims to restore the natural balance of energy in the body and is mostly used as an addition to physiotherapy treatment.
- Pilates. Pilates is a complete exercise system that aims to strengthen muscles and joints and promote good posture and a fully functional body. APPI Pilates is designed for physiotherapists to help both healthy people and those with illnesses or injuries achieve their full potential.
- Reflexology.
- Sports Massage.
All our physiotherapists are members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
