About NeuroMed Tunbridge Wells

At NeuroMed I only do home visits to your place of residence (a neuro domiciliary service) for patients with neurological conditions. I cover the surrounding areas of my base at Crowborough, including East Grinstead and Tunbridge Wells. I can see you if you are in East Sussex, the west of West Sussex, South-West Kent & South-East Surrey. I can be flexible with hours to suit your needs and those of families and care teams.

NB: I now provide diagnosis and rehabilitation services for those suffering from Long-COVID , so if you have had a debilitating reaction to COVID-19 or any other viral condition, I can help you regain your fitness.

Adult Neuro-Physiotherapy - My goal is to maximise your recovery or to help you to fully use your abilities if you suffer from:

  • Stroke, also elecrotherapy for facial paralysis post-stroke
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Head Injury
  • Parkinson’s Disease
  • Balance Problems and a wide range of nervous system conditions.

Paediatric Neuro-Physiotherapy - I am fully qualified and experienced in the assessment and management of a wide spectrum of neurological conditions in children, including:

  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Spina Bifida
  • Developmental delay
  • Dyspraxia
  • Acquired Brain Injury and many other conditions

I am a Physiotherapist trained in the Bobath method and have over 25 years experience in Neuro-Rehabilitation. I have worked with both adults and children in the NHS and the private sector.

Treatments I use include:

  • Bobath, Vojta and PNF techniques - a neurodevelopmental approach
  • Functional Electric Stimulation (FES)
  • FES and facilitation for facial muscles
  • Advice on Lycra garment provision
  • SAEBO hand function training
  • Vestibular and Sensory Integration
  • LSVT-BIG treatment approach for Parkinson’s Disease

My aim is for you to maintain or regain as much independence and day-to-day ability as you can within the limits of your condition. Because of my experience I can choose from a number of treatment approaches. We start by setting realistic short-term and longer-term goals during the initial assessment so we agree these together and are clear about our treatment aims. I continually review progress during our treatment sessions.
