Active Health Bath specialises in diagnosing and treating pain conditions, musculoskeletal problems and sports injuries. We are as focused on helping an elderly person maintain their independence as we are on keeping an elite athlete competing in their chosen sport.
Our highly qualified physiotherapists and chiropractors provide expert diagnosis, treatment and management of injury and pain conditions. We allocate the time needed to really find out where your problem is and our staff continually upskill themselves to provide the most modern and evidence-based treatments.
We can help you determine whether or not you have a soft-tissue injury or problem and if so, treat it so the difficulty resolves and doesn’t return.
OUR SERVICES
- Physiotherapy. Our highly skilled physios treat a wide range of problems from spinal and joint pain to arthritis to sports injuries and rehabilitation after surgery such as joint replacement or rotator cuff repair.
- Chiropractic. Chiropractors manage people of all ages who have problems with their musculoskeletal system. They also advise on lifestyle, diet and exercise and support treatments delivered by other professional groups.
- Massage. We use massage to reduce pain, induce relaxation and limit anxiety. Various types of massage are available including deep tissue massage, sports massage and active release techniques.
- Sports Rehabilitation. Our therapists deal with the injury or inflammation and then work at returning you to full fitness in your sport. This specialised work is individually programmed for your specific sporting activity.
- Acupuncture. Dry needling can be helpful in breaking into a cycle of pain where more vigorous treatment methods might not be possible. Acupuncture is usually administered as an addition to ongoing treatment, rather than on its own.
- Pilates. Pilates techniques are suitable for a wide variety of people who want to start their rehabilitation after injury, recover from pregnancy or just enhance their ability to move more naturally.
- Therapy Techniques. Along with joint mobilisations and manipulation, these include Trigenics, Proprioceptive Medicine and Active Release Techniques.
- Shockwave Therapy. Extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) is a non-invasive treatment which is very effective in tendon, joint and muscle conditions. Examples are plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendinosis.
- Personal Training.
- Corporate Physiotherapy. We can provide the vital early treatment after injury or pain onset that makes the difference between an early return to work and long-term pain problems. This can significantly benefit your staff and reduce time off work costs at the same time.
All our physiotherapists are members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
